Third of 26 companies, from a blind dataset draw
Selangor, 9 September 2026 — ALPHV Technologies has been named 2nd runner-up at the Selangor AI Hackathon 2026, organised by the Selangor State Government and the Selangor Human Resource Development Centre (SHRDC).
The hackathon was open to companies with SSM registration, an MOF licence and a CTOS report, and drew 26 entrants. Datasets were drawn blind on the day, and ALPHV’s team of three AI and data analysts was assigned illegal dumping and waste management.
After the first round on 21 August, the team was named among the top 10 finalists and pitched to the judging panel. Results were announced at the closing ceremony and awards dinner on 9 September, where ALPHV placed third.
Alongside the hackathon, ALPHV has held focus group discussions with 12 local authorities and Selangor’s waste, water, road and infrastructure departments, in support of better public services for the rakyat.
